Visualizing Self
On June 20, 2013, Jennifer Davis gave a presentation on Visualizing Self at the Velocity 2013 conference. This repository is a place for the community to describe work, contribute helpful metrics and tools used to measure their work in our industry with the goal of hacking the culture around work from the bottom up.
The value of this project is to improve job satisfaction, decision making about paths we take, and challenges chosen. It will give us a better way to relate and understand each others skill sets to help us build out teams that function and eliminate the value of traditional support heroics. Finally companies more effectively use management's time by giving management better mechanisms to understand, value, and rate performance of employees.
Being able to integrate metrics about health, perception of "happiness"/"satisfaction" with job, and work. The idea being you can determine your most productive work hours, and what times which kind of work suits you best. You could also be able to determine whether work you perceive as being "happy" generating is stressful/free.
