This does not fail if no user can be found; perhaps you want to use the one() method? Otherwise, the method will fail in the next line with a "can't assign attribute to None object".

Using the "Login with email address" on a plone instance without this method it's impossible to obtain success changing your own email address (for all of the user, also by admin access).
