LeanBitLab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Lwidget ("the App") handles your data.
Lwidget operates entirely on your local device. The App does not request or possess the Android Internet permission, meaning it is physically incapable of transmitting data off your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, analytics, or telemetry data with our servers or any third parties. Furthermore, Lwidget is fully open-source software, allowing anyone to inspect the code to verify these privacy claims.
To function correctly as a dashboard widget, Lwidget requests the following permissions. All data accessed via these permissions remains strictly on your local device:
- Calendar (READ_CALENDAR): Used exclusively to display your upcoming calendar events directly on the widget.
- Tasks (org.tasks.permission.READ_TASKS & com.todoroo.astrid.READ): Used exclusively to display your todo lists from the Tasks.org app on the widget.
- Physical Activity (ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION & FOREGROUND_SERVICE_HEALTH): Used exclusively to count your daily steps for the pedometer widget feature.
- App Usage Stats (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used exclusively to display your current device data usage and storage statistics.
- Alarms: Used exclusively to display your next upcoming alarm time.
Under no circumstances is any of the above information uploaded to the cloud, sent to LeanBitLab, or shared with third-party tracking networks.
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Crashlytics) or advertising frameworks (e.g., AdMob). It is 100% ad-free and tracker-free.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new permissions or features. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
