I'm really confused as far as what is happening with the setting of the emitter position.

What you have works great for Portrait Orientation, but does not work if the device is changed to Landscape mode. Other examples of CAEmitterLayer use the point values directly without any transformation, and I have not been able to follow what your transformation is actually doing, in order to make it work for Landscape mode. Can you explain why it is there?

PS: I know you created this over 2 years ago. If you get around to noticing these issues and can comment, it would be great. However, if not, I'll try to cobble together something that works for me. (I'm looking to add a nice fireworks display when the user completes one of my puzzles, before going to the next screen.)
