V13 base for catprintlabs PRs to merge with react.rb v0.13 #48

All my upcoming pull requests will be based on this one. This is just the minimal changes to get things working with Rails 3.2, plus I added a todo list for myself to track these changes, plus I noticed there was never a spec to check that the render method gets copied to the ctor.
