Upgrading to version 3.3.x, I get repeated prompts for Basic Auth credentials

We don't use basic auth enforcement anywhere in Console. I don't think this is coming from Console

Does version 3.3.x require authentication by default? What authentication mechanism does it use?

No, I don't think this is coming from Console. Maybe you have some infra inbetween Console and your browser that's forcing auth

However, after downgrading to version 3.2.2, the issue no longer occurs. I suspect that some changes introduced in 3.3.x prevent the Gateway from forwarding the required http header to the Console.

We need additional details for investigating this. Console itself does not enforce such basic auth regardless of the configuration. I don't have any idea where this is coming from currently
