grafana datasource setup

The Test for grafrana is failing.

Is there HTTP Auth going on? I noticed nothing for that section of the datasource create. Also the deploy script gave HTTPS in the URL, so how can Grafana handle the TLS? Do I need to import a Cert?

Do you mean grafana accessing the Kapua Elasticsearch datasource, or the OpenShift Hawkular datasource.

I was using "proxy" as access mode, this way Grafana does access the data and not the browser. Grafana does support both.

And, up until now, I didn't run into any issues. But indeed I haven't checked why that worked 😉 Going with plain "http" should be fine in this case.

I should have been clearer, sorry. The test fail happens for setting up hawkular as datasource.

Now I'm suspecting my Openshift metrics isn't working correctly. I'd image that is a dependency for the Grafana piece to actually have data :) (this isn't a minishift --metrics build but standard OCP, so I'll need to check)

So I did run into a few issues here as well. That is why I made this full tutorial.

The tenant seems to be the project name. As token you can use the session token (oc whoami -t), but this is only valid for 24 hours. I should be possible to use a service account instead. But I haven't tried that yet.

Sometimes the wildfly pod doesn't come up properly. Killing it help to restore it.
