cast_swift (ios) cannot connect to the scanner.

Describe the bug
I would like to seek your advice regarding an issue we encountered.
Our team has built the iOS project from the following repository:

However, we are currently unable to connect to the scanner.
An error message appears as shown in the attached image.

Log:

connect failure: Exception ocurred (Error connecting to TCP socket: Connection refused)

Connection to 192.168.1.1:44319 failed

Could you please advise which part of the setup or configuration we need to modify in order to successfully connect to the scanner?

I would like to provide some additional context regarding this issue. Our team has already purchased the Research Subscription License from Clarius, and we are currently testing whether we can develop our own application to connect to the scanner. We are using the iOS sample from the https://github.com/clariusdev/cast
repository, but the connection to the scanner is still not successful and the error shown above occurs.

We would appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue, or clarification on whether additional configuration, keys, or license activation is required in order to enable the scanner connection for Research users.

The cause of the connection failure is unclear. Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot:

• ensure the probe is connected to the Clarius App--the cast library can connect to the probe only if it is already connected to the Clarius App
• ensure your device (the device that runs the cast example) is connected to the probe's Wi-Fi before clicking "connect"

Thank you for your support. I followed the instructions, connected to Wi-Fi, and pressed connect from the sample app cast_swift on GitHub, but I am still unable to connect. The error message appears below.

Log Detail:
connect failure: Exception ocurred (Invalid message response for command get multicast (2); contains 0 sub-packets rather than 2))
Connection to 192.168.1.1:35549 failed

Additionally, the test device can connect to the scanner via the official Clarius App without any issues.

Hi Julien-l,

Thank you very much for your support and guidance. I am now able to connect with my probe via the Clarius App.
I have one question: is it possible to build an app that connects directly to the probe without going through the Clarius App? I am not sure if this is feasible.

Hi yes this is possible to completely bypass the Clarius App using the Solum SDK, however it is usually reserved to OEM clients buying a large number of probes. Contact your sales representative for more information, ask them about the Solum SDK or OEM license. Thanks!
