FirstCyclingAPI or firstcycling.com ?

Hello,
I'm working on Unreal Engine and I'm trying to create results tables with the motion design plugin. I'm fine with race results, stage results, and rider rankings, but I'd like to know if the API allows me to :

1. Retrieve the results of the mountain or sprint jerseys.
2. Is it up to me to calculate the team or nation rankings, or do I have to go through firstcycling.com with beautifulsoup?
3. Same question for rider information: can I get it directly via the API, or do I have to retrieve the information from firstcycling.com with beautifulsoup?

I'm not an expert in data recovery. I'd be happy to share my project with you if you'd like.

I think this used to be easy but firstcycling.com may have changed their endpoints slightly so now it's not trivial. Regardless I think if you use the RaceEditionResults enpoint you may be able to access it using the response object via Beautiful Soup. The Classification enum might be useful

I'm not fully sure what you mean. If you want to get the rankings from firstcycling.com or a related page you can use the corresponding endpoints.

In general, the way this package works is:

1. Find the page on firstcycling.com that has the information you need
2. Find the corresponding class/endpoint in the FirstCyclingAPI package
3. Use that class to load the data from the page of interest
4. For some pages, the class will automatically parse the page and give you the results in a nice format (like a pandas DataFrame). For other pages, it just returns the response, which you can parse using Beautiful Soup.

Cool, I don't know anything about that other package or MCP, but if it works for you great!

If you want to try to use my package, based on what you described I think the part of the code to look at is

Lines 90 to 94 in 5334aa0

. Either the logic there isn't correct anymore, or the code isn't being called on the right columns.

I can add exemples of my code but I'm not sure to be able to contribute to fic the package ;-)
Now all is ok to get races and stages results. I will work on my project with unreal engine and let you know how I progress.
