Ability to scroll the piecewise visual map similar to legend

What problem does this feature solve?

When there are a lot of categories in the piecewise visual map, the categories are clipped in the chart. There should be an option to scroll them like it is provided for legend.

What does the proposed API look like?

Legend has a type option which is scroll or plain. However, visualMap already has type used for continous and piecewise. So, either a new option like 'scroll: true/false' or support scrolling automatically if it doesn't fit the chart.

Would it work for you if you hide visualMap and add legend with scroll? you can still use visualMap to do the color coding.

It might work but shouldn't the legend node be within the visualMap node as there can be multiple visualMaps? That way, this setting will be specific to the visualMap and not impact the overall legend option of the chart.
