Don't edit within comments

Would it be possible to enhance the region operations of string-inflection, such as M-x string-inflection-kebab-case so that they makes no edits within comments? They have a rather destructive impact on English text. It is a hassle for me to invoke the routine multiple times (once for each code region between comments).

Personally, I've never needed to convert a large selected region at once — being able to convert small units like a variable name while typing has been sufficient for my use case, and I prefer to keep things simple. That said, if you’re interested in implementing this yourself, I’d be happy to accept a PR.

If this feature is added, though, please keep in mind that some users might actually want to convert text inside comments, so it would be best if the feature could be toggled via an option.

Thanks for your reply. My use case was converting a large Python codebase from using camelCase to using snake_case. This downcased every capitalized word in a comment, which was undesirable.
