Plotting starts automatically

Whenever I open the program, when I usually want to adjust my settings, all plots start immediately as they were set on the last session (often because of a crash)

click stop all and do a force stop & it won't auto start until you click start stagger again. this feature is for people who want to automatically recover on crashes & restarts

Hasn't it been reported as a bug enough to want to make it a user accessible setting? I've had to stop using the app as if I have over disk space activities going on, it occasionally causes a crash. When all I wanted to do was open the program and start a different job.
