SNOPT optimization package #2

I am writing to seek your guidance regarding the download and use of the SNOPT optimization package, as outlined on your website at https://ccom.ucsd.edu/~optimizers/downloads/.
I noticed that there are three different versions of the SNOPT package available for download. Given that I am a student based outside the United States, I understand that I am eligible to use the version limited to 500 variables. However, I would like to confirm with you whether this version will suffice for academic purposes, or if there are alternative arrangements for non-US students.
